Potter Jr. High was filled with excitement, pride, and joy as we came together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students during the first trimester. It was a full house, with parents, family members, and friends joining the festivities to cheer on our incredible Braves. The energy and support in the room made it a truly unforgettable evening!

Reclassification Awards
We recognized students who reached a significant milestone in their academic journey—reclassification. These students demonstrated tremendous growth and commitment to mastering English language proficiency. Their success is a testament to their resilience and determination, and it was heartwarming to see their families celebrate this achievement alongside them.
Scholastic Honor Roll & Principal’s Honor Roll
Academic excellence took center stage as we celebrated students with remarkable GPAs:
- Scholastic Honor Roll: Awarded to students earning a 3.6 GPA or higher.
- Principal’s Honor Roll: Presented to students achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The pride on the faces of students and their families was a true highlight of the night. These honors reflect not only hard work but also the unwavering support from loved ones who encourage and inspire our students every day.
Students of the Trimester
A particularly special moment of the evening was recognizing our Students of the Trimester. Each trimester, two students from each grade level are selected for this prestigious honor. To earn this award, students must:
- Maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher,
- Demonstrate outstanding citizenship in at least two classes, and
- Embody the traits of the Portrait of an 8th Grader, including responsibility, collaboration, and integrity.
Congratulations to our Trimester 1 recipients for their academic and personal excellence! Watching their families beam with pride reminded us all of the important role that community plays in student success.
The Trimester 1 Awards Night was more than just a celebration of academic and personal achievement—it was a celebration of our entire school community.
